Stories:

I started karate in January 1992 at the age of 33. Was I too old to give it a shot (I thought) but, I would give it a go anyway.

I have been an asthma sufferer since childhood and physical excercise used to make me quite ill. I can remember as a child not being able to run more than about 80yards (I'm still not metric). As I progressed in Karate, I found that in our style of practice, being very relaxed and focusing on the breathing, that my body was able to do more than it was ever able to do even when I was a lot younger.

So I would thoroughly recommend Shotokai to any healthy person and especially to anyone who thinks that they might be less fit. They say a lot of your state of wellbeing is all in the mind and I for one totally agree with this. You can surprise yourself.

Come on, give it a go!
